Our new colleague Ali Nasiri in an interview

For today, we have invited Ali for an interview.
Ali joined us on 01 October 2022 and is working in manufacturing.

He answered a few questions on his personality and his tasks at solvimus:

What is your favourite song?

More than anything else I enjoy listening to music from my homeland. Especially the artist Yanni I can listen to over and over again. I adore music and play the violin and keyboard.

Work is but half of the lifetime. What is your favourite leisure-time activity?

I spend a lot of time with my family. My daughter studies chess and playing the violin, so I practice together with her. I often solve puzzles like Sudoku and talk a lot – both on German and on Persian, and our daughter points out mistakes we made in German. 😊

What grasped your attention of the solvimus GmbH?

I am grateful to our former co-worker and friend Hadi. He immediately notified me when he learned that a vacancy exists in manufacturing.

Why did you decide for solvimus, and what left a positive impression at first contact?

I like the industry sector and the combination of inventive talent and manufacturing. The initial chats with Sebastian and Sarah really paved the ground for my decision and I felt at ease right away.

Job interviews are the one thing – what prompted your decision?

The community! I noted already in the first conversations which culture governs solvimus and how people interact here. Another major plus for me is that I do not have to work shifts any longer!

How was your first week at the company? How were you integrated into the team and how was your on-boarding?

It was very exciting as so many aspects were new to me. Everyone was (and still is!) very kind and they explained me everything, with great patience.

What do you like most at solvimus? What is not so marvellous?

I enjoy very much installing the software on the devices, an activity where I am still learning. It is also very appealing to me that I am authorized to work on everything step in the manufacturing cycle.

If I may wish for something, I’d like to have certain manual work automated – some manual work just doesn’t suit me.

How do you explain your grandmother what you are doing at solvimus?

First of all, I’d talk to her in Laki 😊
I’d tell her that we manufacture devices that aid in processing consumption data for electricity, water and gas. I am sure she gets an idea of it then.

To sum up, how would you describe the solvimus GmbH as employer to your friends?

solvimus is an open-minded, tolerant and friendly employer where everyone is free to utter his opinion and to inspire by his ideas. Everyone is friendly, interaction is calm and nice, and we share a laugh every now and then.

Thank you Ali for having you here with us!
