Welcome to the team – Daniel2 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Two new faces, a common name & a common start date: since February, Daniel Czaniera (Technical Project Manager) and Daniel Dettmar (Sales Administrator) reinforce our team.
Time for a dual interview! We prepared the beginning of phrases, and it was up to them to reply extemporaneously.
Spoiler: it is frank, charming and quite funny.

🎤 My attention was grasped by solvimus by…

Daniel D.: internet researches. I was actively seeking a new position, researched a lot got stuck at solvimus.

Daniel C.: my wife who works in the manufacturing department at solvimus.
And at least at the family day last year it became evident: a special atmosphere & personal appreciation reign here.

🎤 I opted for solvimus because …

Daniel D.: the job interview was very relaxed. And because I wanted to remain in Ilmenau, my city of origin. That the sales team is composed of likeable individuals was evident at our first encounter.

Daniel C.: the impressions gathered at the family day grew even stronger in the interview. The community spirit is simply a match.

🎤 My first week at the job was …

Daniel D.: without friction. Simply good, without exception. Everything was very structured. Even though it was a lot of input, each and every of my questions was answered directly, reflecting competence. It is correct to state that I “slid softly” into my first days at work.
Very cool: in my second week I got a first-hands experience in the manufacturing department, ranging from assembly of the devices to packaging. Now I know precisely what we sell. And it was a fun activity.

Daniel C.: I can only confirm this. The first days were super organized and totally relaxed.

🎤 During onboarding I learned that …

Daniel D.: the ticket system in Sales is brilliant. I was competent to reply to customers’ questions after a short time even though I did not yet have the grasp of products and processes.

Daniel C.: our products are much more specialized and the applications are more complex than I had thought. We serve niches that I didn’t know they exist.

🎤 The best surprise in the initial weeks was …

Daniel D.: our excursion to Mallorca! I was flabbergasted that solvimus organizes this. The family-like interaction every day at work is great.

Daniel C.: Absolutely. Mallorca was simply marvellous.
And I had not thought that I will be entrusted with own projects that quickly. Trust between us is motivating.

🎤 Whoever starts here should know that …

Daniel D.: one cannot evade one’s interview 😄
And: there are snacks at all times. The sweet temptation looms everywhere. 😊

Daniel C.: we live up to our communication principles. Everyone is willing to reply to questions – co-workers and directors alike.

🎤 I felt comfortable when …

Daniel D.: I received a Christmas card prior to my start day and was invited to our monthly sponsored lunch. I was welcomed prior to the start day.

Daniel C
.: I agree fully. As for me, it was at least the first day at work. My affectionately decorated desk was a true highlight.

🎤 During lunch break one can find me mostly …

Both: Very clear: in the cafeteria.

🎤 The most hilarious situation thus far was …

Daniel D.: during the MUC.one workshop held by Erik, our Technical Support. Always when my PC was reluctant and he wanted to check, the problem vanished for whatever reason. Erik once more honoured his title and was coined “the Support-Erik with superior timing”. 😊

Daniel C.: in my onboarding week, in Manufacturing. Almost all devices there are given nicknames. I learned that “underwear” are the mounting base housings and that the enlarger camera for soldering is coined “Hasi”. Splendid! 😄

🎤 I spend my free time with …

Daniel D.: my daughter, e. g. in the swimming pool. And I enjoy gaming.

Daniel C.: Walking and hiking. I adore being outdoors in the nature. And I am working in an honorary capacity, e. g. for “Ingenieure ohne Grenzen” (Engineers without borders, development aid).

🎤 Our morning ritual in the office is …

Daniel D.: unspectacular. Means: cranking up the PC & checking mails.

Daniel C.: same for me. And a coffee is a must.

🎤 My task is …

Daniel D.: managing the offers and orders, the communication with the customer and supporting the long-time sales experts (Mareike & Michelle).

Daniel C.: As Technical Project manager, I serve as communication interface between customers and our internal teams, aiming at the best implementation of each project.

Two Daniels, dual reinforcement for the team and loads of good mood on top. Great that you are here!

We are looking forward to many common projects, laughters in the cafeteria and of course more “Hasi”-moments. 😊
